Description A view of the Scottish capital en:Edinburgh, from the en:Scott Monument looking southeast. The expansive glass roof of Waverley Station fills the drained valley between Waverley and North bridges, and the city's en:medieval old town (resting on an alluvial ridge behind the crag of en:Edinburgh Castle) is visible on the right. In the distance white cranes continue to work on the controversial new building for the en:Scottish Parliament near en:Holyrood Palace, beyond which is the hill Arthur's Seat.
