  • Built by: M/S Neue Ruhrorter Schiffswerft Gmbh, Duisburg. The project planning and section construction of the newbuilding had been carried out in Germany in accordance with the rules of Germanischer Lloyd. Assembling works in Tanzania started in November 2007 at the Tanzanian shipyard specially founded for this purpose.

  • Costs: About 8,460,480,000 local currency, equivalent to 5,287,800 Euros
  • Length: 74.1 m
  • Width: 17.44 m
  • Tons: 500
  • Passengers: 2000
  • Cars: 60
  • Main engines: Four identical engine modules, each incorporating one Caterpillar Engine CAT 3406 C DITA with a Twin Disk reversing gearbox of type MG. 400 Horse Power each with SCHOTTEL Pump-Jets of type SPJ 82 RD for main propulsion. The entire electrical control equipment is also integrated on the frame.
