Anverso:Muestra la imagen de la escritora Helen Keller sentada en una silla, a su derecha la versiòn reducida de su nombre en braile.En los extremos hay dos flores de magnolia a la derecha y una rama de pino a la izquierda. Las leyendas"HELEN KELLER"y "spirit of courage"("espiritu de coraje").Arriba la fecha de adhesion a la union(1819). La inclusion del sistema braile en la moneda de cuarto de Dòlar pasa a ser la primera de los EE.UU que lleva doble sistema de escritura, y posiblemente la primera a nivel mundial.
