File:Family ring of redwoods.jpg

Description This ring of Coast Redwoods Sequoia sempervirens sprouted from the stump of an older tree. When we have a ring of trees like this, it's called, appropriately, a family ring. This picture was taken from the Muir Woods National Monument. It's a really nice place.
