English: This image is the symbol of the Ndut Ceremony in Senegambia. It is a triagular and heavy object that a chosen one (always a man) carries on his head during the celebration of this ancient Serer ceremony of the boys/men who have been initated. The whole town or village gather to witness this ceremony. This image also appears in Salif Dione's book "L'Appel du Ndut - Ou l'initiation des garcons Seereer".
