- Notes and defaults
- Firefox was separately downloaded (Knoppix 6.7.1 carries Iceweasel 6);
- A new profile was created to show a view with as many default options as possible;
- The menu bar was visible by default, but set not to be shown (default in more common operating systems). Once the menu bar is hidden, the Bookmarks drop-down button will appear.
- The window widgets theme is Clearlooks.
- The button/icon theme is "GNOME" and it's supplied by the operating system; This affects the appearance of buttons and icons in Firefox.
- Non-defaults
- The theme for window decorations is Metabox;
- The window menu titlebar button/icon has been turned off;
- Firefox: Site icons have been turned off for screenshot purposes;
- The search bar uses the Creative Commons Search helper;
- The search bar was stretched enough to fully show the "Creative Commons" text
