December 27, 2008
This building was used in the past as the intelligence operation facility of the Palestinian Authority. The facility was taken over by Hamas during the Gaza takeover in June 2007. According to the IDF, this building is now used by Hamas's operational forces and is called "Tel Al Islam". The facility is used as the headquarters of senior Hamas operatives and in organizing Hamas's naval forces. It was also used for detaining and interrogating Fatah operatives and those suspected of cooperating with Israel.
