Description Population of Karachi. Data from en:Karachi.The most commonly spoken language in Karachi is Urdu, the national language. However Sindhi, Punjabi, Pashto and Balochi are also widely spoken in the city. As per the census of Pakistan 1998, linguistic distribution of the city is: Urdu (48.52%), Punjabi (18.94%), Pashto (16.42%) , Sindhi (7.22%), Balochi (4.34%), Seraiki (2.11%) and Other (2.44%). (Other languages mainly include Brahui, Makrani, Hindko, Khowar, Burushaski, Arabic, Persian and Bengali).
