Description |
Insignia for the US Navy squadron VF-31 the fighting "Tomcatters". The second oldest Navy fighter squadron, tracing their history back to VF-1B Shooting Stars in July of 1935. The Tomcatters incorporated the character of Felix the Cat in their insignia. based on the 1948 design shown at http://www.history.navy.mil/insignia/vf/vf-i.html |
