Deutsch: Feder einer Eule vom nahen: rechts unten sieht man den Rand der Feder mit kammförmigen Fortsätzen. Diese verwirbeln die Luft so, daß keine lauten Luftgeräusche entstehen. Eine ähnliche Funktion hat der fellartige Flaum, der auf der Oberfläche der Feder zu sehen ist.
