Description |
Mount Elbert and horses, taken from the Lake Fork Mobile Home Park near C-300, about five miles SW of Leadville. In addition to being the highest peak in the Rocky Mountains of North America, Mount Elbert (14,440') is also the second-highest peak in the continental U.S., behind California's Mount Whitney (14,505'). |
