File:Yangzi river ship yard on river bank.jpg

A shipyard on the banks of the Yangzi River building river barges.

Photo taken Richard Chambers, AAA Yangtzi Sampler tour, May 2004

This type of barge is a common sight on the Yangzi River carrying goods of various kinds from large bulk loads such as coal (which is loaded onto the barge from a coal loading point on the river bank) to manufactured goods such as automobiles.
