Česky: „(…) Betlém. Obrázek ukazuje muže a ženu blížící se s oslem k Betlému. Byl pořízen na Boží Hod roku 1898. Fotografie představuje scénu připomínající Marii a Josefa, blížíci se k Betlému o asi 1900 dříve.“ (text z  www.old-picture.com) Poznámka: Neboť týž zdroj obsahuje mnoho obrázků z Betléma a okolí, vytvořených roku 1898, „připomínajících“ biblický příběh (s motivy páru, osla, někdy deťátka aj.), pravděpodobně byly alespoň některé z nich naaranžovány.
English: "(…) Bethlehem. The picture shows a man and a woman approaching Bethlehem with a donkey. It was taken on Christmas Day, 1898. The photograph presents a scene reminiscent of Mary and Joseph, as they approached Bethlehem some 1900 years earlier." (text from www.old-picture.com) Note: As the source shows a number of 1898 pictures "reminiscent" of the biblical story in and around Bethlehem (featuring a couple, a donkey, sometimes a baby etc.) it seems likely that at least some of the pictures were staged.
