English: Pioneer Square, March 17, 1917 Looking east from the intersection of James St. and Yesler. At left is the Pioneer Building, with the Pioneer Square Pergola in front of it in Pioneer Square Park; in the middle is the Hotel Seattle, also known as Occidental Block (now demolished); immediately behind that at left the Collins Block peeks out; the tall building is the Smith Tower; and at right is a bit of the Olympic Block (now demolished).
