Our Content Creation Process
Boundless leverages existing open educational resources (OER) published under the Creative Commons license as a starting point for our content. Then we work with our network of 400+ subject-matter experts (SMEs) to curate that content, and bring it up to a high standard approved by professors actively teaching in their field.
Our subject-matter experts are individuals with deep subject expertise in the area they're writing about (either via graduate school in that subject or career expertise in that subject).
Curated OER
At Boundless, we start with existing open educational resources, but then leverage our network of SMEs to remix, revise, and update our content into the Boundles
Leveraging Boundless
Our content development roadmap is customer-driven. If you want Boundless in your classroom, but we don't cover the subject you want to teach, we can build it out using our content curation process faster than any conventional publisher—think several weeks, not several months.
We can also update our content to reflect the latest research. For example, in six weeks (before the fall semester), we fully updated our Psychology subject to reflect the DSM-V update.
We can also use this process to backfill coverage gaps if you want to use Boundless in your classroom and we only have partial coverage of your material. We work on many different models, and we're always looking for institutional partners in our content creation process.
