Nematode shape
Scanning electron micrograph of soybean cyst nematode and its egg. Nematodes are cylindrical in shape, often looking like thin hairs. They possess an exoskeleton that prevents them from drying out . It must be shed (a process called ecdysis) in order for them to grow.
