Program costs

Tuition is $6,920 for the five-month Professional Groomer course. The tool kit and grooming apron are $850 and books are $130. Tuition is $2,900 for the five-week Groomer Assistant course. The tool kit and grooming apron are $600. Both courses require a $100 non-refundable registration fee. Students who have graduated from the academy or have at least 12 months of employment at a grooming salon can take private hand scissoring instruction for $75 per hour. This instruction teaches students how to perfect the look of the pet's coat so that is has a smooth appearance.

Other admissions information

Students are required, at their expense, to show proof of a current tetanus vaccination and drug test before the first day of class.
