Each course is one year in length and includes academic instruction and classroom internships. Graduates earn a nationally recognized American Montessori Society Infant and Toddler (ages 0-3), Early Childhood (ages 2 1/2-6), or Elementary I (ages 6-9) or II (ages 6-12) Certificate, and are prepared to teach infant and toddler, early childhood, or elementary students in Montessori programs. Students may apply their elementary course work and certification towards obtaining a Master of Education through Plymouth State University.

Program costs
Tuition is $6,826 for the Infant and Toddler program and $8,226 for the Early Childhood Teacher program. Tuition is $8,426 for the Elementary I Teacher program and $5,595 for the Elementary II Teacher program. Tuition includes the cost of books, albums, and handouts. For some programs there is an additional Early Childhood Overview required course and fee for applicants without an early childhood credential. Registration fee is $200 for each program. All required books are provided by MEIPN.
A bachelor's degree is required for students who wish to earn the full American Montessori Society Infant and Toddler, Early Childhood, or Elementary credential.

Applicants for the early childhood program must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
Other admissions information
An associate credential is available for the Infant and Toddler and Early Childhood programs. A three- to five-credit child development course taken in the last five years is required before beginning academic work. If this course is over five years old, a refresher exam is available through this school. Applicants also must observe at least two Montessori classrooms.
