Additional information
The school offers courses at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, and for different welding processes (Shielded Metal Arc Welding, "Stick;" Flux Core Arc Welding, "Dual Shield and Inner Shield;" Gas Metal Arc Welding, "Hard Wire;" and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, "TIG"). Courses are designed around the most common industry standards including AWS, ASME, and API. Each class is five weeks in length. Courses are held Monday through Friday and are hands-on with students spending 90% of classroom time doing welding. Students who complete the intermediate or advanced courses will be able to take the American Welding Society (AWS) and Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO) certification test for a specific industry standard.
Tuition is $3,000 each for the Beginner/Entry-Level Welding, Intermediate Welding, and Advanced Welding 160-hour program. Tuition is $2,500 if enrolling in more than one course. All tools and materials for the courses are included in the price. If students take more than one course, they may need to purchase additional supplies during their training. Contact the school for the cost of other advanced and combined welding program options.
