Herbal Sciences
Overview
The herbal sciences program provides students with an introduction to herbal medicine.Students in the herbal sciences program explore concepts of herbology that focus on plant identification, pharmacology, and trends in medicinal uses. They will also acquire an understanding of herbal product manufacturing, including quality assurance issues. Students are prepared to enter the herbal products industry or pursue further education in related health care fields, such as naturopathic medicine, public health, ethnobotany, and medicinal herbology.
#Homeopathy comes from the Greek words homoios which means similar and pathos which means suffering. The system treats patients with a very dilute dose of a natural substance or remedy that in a stronger dose would create the same disease or symptoms as are being treated. The homeopathy program teaches students about the principles of classical homeopathy and how to use prepared substances to stimulate a patient's own healing process. The diploma program prepares students for national certification in homeopathy.
